Partnership Series Event - CBODN Systems Learning Series - Visualizing Organizational Networks: A Case Study in Applying Social Network Analysis

Elizabeth Scott, PhD

Join us for this workshop presented by CBODN as part of their Systems Learning Series!

In today's fast-evolving organizational landscape, organizational development consultants play a pivotal role in driving impactful interventions and working with clients to uncover strategic insights. This session dives deep into the use of social network analysis (SNA) and provides a practical case study where a mid-sized professional association in Washington D.C. used SNA alongside 360-degree leadership assessments to uncover hidden relationship dynamics within its executive team.

The integration of SNA not only illuminated informal influence networks but also challenged conventional perceptions of leadership within the organization. By visualizing these networks, consultants can enhance client impact by identifying emerging leaders, optimizing team collaboration, and guiding effective change management strategies. This session will equip you with actionable insights and real-world examples to integrate SNA into your practice, empowering you to diagnose organizational challenges more effectively and drive sustainable organizational development.
