OD Workshop - Grow and Let Go
Lisa Ike-Alvarez
Conflict is a common matter that impacts most aspects of our life. We are conflicted about our next meal, next assignment, next role. In the work context, conflict is often viewed as negative and great steps (trainings, HR escalations) are engaged to ensure this experience is fully extinguished. I perceive these interventions arriving from a place of fear. As I have come to realize through witnessing and experiencing, solutions that are founded from a place of insecurity solve only surface problems. My workshop reaches below the exterior and uncovers components that drive the fear of conflict--emotions. I'm fascinated (and curious) about the inclusion of affection within conflict management workshops and its ability to frame conflict through a more personable, intimate lens, making way for a more thoughtful and gentle relationship with conflict.
In this program, you will:
- Identify your relationship to conflict
- Learn new ways of relating to conflict
- Feel more empowered to engage in conflict
