OD Toolkit Series - Strategic Engagement for Change
Chris Crosby
This training will be conducted live via Zoom. The zoom meeting details will be sent out prior to the training.
We live in a world where, for many, the preferred behavior is passive, indirect and avoidant. Yet the evidence is clear that such behavior is devastating to organizational effectiveness. The antidote to such behavior is to engage. When one finds the courage to do so they will be rewarded because the evidence is clear, when you engage, you achieve positive results.
Gallup’s study, like many before it, confirms that workplaces that are the most engaged out perform workplaces that are disengaged in every measure. “When Compared With Business Units In The Bottom Quartile Of Engagement, Those In The Top Quartile Realize Improvements In The Following Areas:
41% Lower Absenteeism
70% Fewer Employee Safety Incidents
17% Higher Productivity
20% Higher Sales
21% Higher Profitability
40% Fewer Quality Incidents (Defects)
Gallup also discovered the following: “Employees who are supervised by highly engaged managers are 59% more likely to be engaged than those supervised by actively disengaged managers.” -Gallup
Engaged leaders create engaged workplaces. Yet how shall does one do this? Come explore some tried and true ways to conceptualized, plan, prepare and structure how to increase engagement in your workplace.
At the end of the presentation, the participants will:
- Gain a systemic frame of engagement
- Understand several repeatable structures to engage employees
- Understand the difference between process and expert change agents
