Leaders improve people's performance by influencing their thoughts and actions. This course will give two new tools for earning influence and improving performance in any role or project. The course is highly engaging because you will learn the tools and methods by applying them to your own work.

Topics covered in this course:

Performance - an updated model

Using the performance wisdom jig to host performance improvement discussions

Earning influence - an empowering model

Using the learning influence wisdom jig to plot a natural, direct path to greater personal authority

Learning outcomes:

Learn to use the performance wisdom jig to identify performance improvement opportunities, engage others, and empower of your team.

Using the earned influence wisdom to build personal authority and relevance no matter your current role or the organization's culture.

Experience:

Each tool will be briefly introduced

We will work the models and tools using examples from your own work.

Sharing opportunities with other participants

Q&A to refine our understanding and gain insight

Create an action plan to take home

About Your Instructor

Stephen Sloan is founder of the Humane Leadership Institute, as well as a former CEO, startup founder, and consultant to Global 1000 technology firms. He has served leaders in business and nonprofits in the fields of technology, medicine, retail, education, and the arts. He teaches leadership to professionals and university students.
