OD Toolkit Series - Goal Clarity
Chris Crosby
This training will be conducted live via Zoom. The zoom meeting details will be sent out 24hr prior to the training.
The “lead” in leadership is a clear direction. The fundamental task of business leadership is to align employees in the same direction. Workplace goals represent that direction.
Effective goals are clear, simple, numeric, and measurable. The ability to set simple numeric measurements is a critical step in organization alignment. Yet a remarkable amount of leaders and consultants are unaware of the distinction between actions, values, beliefs, standards, and goals.
This understanding is also a key to creating a fully engaged workplace. If you articulate clear goals and give your employees the means to figure out how to achieve them, then you can dramatically increase workplace engagement. However, if you hand down projects or initiatives instead of goals, then your employees will only work on implementing them and think less broadly about the whole organization.
In this intensive interactive session we will explore this critical dimension of leadership and help you unlock your ability to identify fuzzy goals and transform them so you can achieve goal clarity.
At the end of this session participants will learn:
- How to create an aligned and engaged workplace using goal clarity.
- How to recognize fuzzy goals and transform them into clear goals.
- A step-by-step process to achieve goal clarity.
Participants should bring a mission critical initiative or project or have one they can reflect on from their past.
