    Learnapalooza 2.0

    Back by popular demand and expanded to a day-long workshop is the learning fair we dubbed "Learnapalooza" – it’s like summer camp for learning professionals! Using the open space format, this is a chance to network, sample a smorgasbord of topics relevant to today's learning professional: virtual reality technology, micro-learning and e-learning best practices, diversity & inclusion issues, better content curation, learning ecosystems, coaching, informal learning, future workforce issues, and more in rapid, immersive experiences. For a full list of presenters, see the event page on the ATDps website.

    Then, the afternoon will allow participants a chance to dive into many of the morning topics through longer workshops. As organizations face new and increasing pressures, Action Learning is more relevant than ever as an effective solution for solving complex problems and building strong working teams.

    Specifically, action learning is remarkable in its ability to:

    ● Solve problems and challenges with breakthrough and sustaining strategies,

    ● Develop the leadership skills and qualities needed by twenty-first-century managers,

    ● Develop teams that continuously improve their capability to form and adapt

    ● Capture, transfer, and apply valuable knowledge at the individual, group, organizational, and community levels.

    When:  May 16 - 20

    If you are ready for a deeper understanding of Action Learning, or are considering becoming a certified coach, the intensive Action Learning Certification Program will take you to the next level. This session covers the six components of Action Learning and the two ground rules in detail. Participants will learn the concepts behind why Action Learning works, as well as have an opportunity to experience Action Learning as a participant and as a coach. This intensive program gives participants the skills and the experience they need to excel as Action Learning coaches in a variety of challenging situations. Participants will be required to conduct several Action Learning sessions independently from the class experiences. In addition, workshops use outside presenters from organizations needing real solutions.

    This program is for:

    ● Practicing coaches who want to implement Action Learning programs in organizations;

    ● Organization and Development professionals interested in helping organizations build capabilities and increase performance

    ● Human Resources professionals who want to increase their strategic value as business partners

    ● Professionals who want to introduce Action Learning coaching within their organization

    ● Independent coaches and consultants who wish to become a Certified Action Learning Coach (CALC).

    Launching in 2016: The Welcome Group Program

    The OD Network launched its NEW Welcome Group Program (WGP), serving new members and graduate/doctoral students in the OD Network on March 2nd. The first two cohorts filled quickly; don't miss the opportunity to participate in the next group. The program connects members to each other while exploring the Network, and was piloted in 2015 with high success. Participants meet virtually for three weeks (one 90 min session per week) to accomplish three tasks:

    Identify their own professional needs (e.g., skills, learning, relationships);

    Collaborate in exploring OD Network's available resources; and

    Create peer-accountable action plans for getting the most out of their OD Network membership.

    We’d like to invite you to participate!

    To get a feel for the Welcome Group Program, here is a conversation shared by founders, Kris Lea, PsyD OD and Marco Cassone, MSOD.
